In-Person Class Rules and Expectations

As a prenatal and postpartum fitness company dedicated to providing Strength in Motherhood,™ FIT4MOM values community care above all else. We are committed to doing our part to keep our clients safe and our Village healthy. By implementing guidelines set forth by the CDC, WHO, IHRSA, IDEA, and local government, we are confident that with our clients’ cooperation, we are prepared to conduct outdoor in-person fitness classes. However, we will continue to provide virtual offerings if you are not quite ready or unable to return to in-person classes. We respect that this is an individual decision. Please know that when you decide to return to in-person classes, we will be thrilled to welcome you back, but we must follow safe practices.

To ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and prevent the spread of COVID-19, we will be implementing the following:

  1. Class attendance will be limited. Kid-free classes will have a limit of 12 participants, and stroller classes will have a limit of 9 participants. Clients are required to pre-register for classes. A waitlist will begin once registration reaches its max. Please cancel at least 1 hour in advance of a class, so that another client on the waitlist has enough time to plan to take your place. Repeated no shows/late cancels may result in a $15 no show/late cancellation fee or class pass deduction.
  2. Contactless greeting and coaching. Instructors will cue movements from a 6-foot distance.
  3. Clients will be required to follow social distancing guidelines and maintain a 6-foot distance from one another during class.
  4. Masks are to be worn throughout all in-person classes. It is recommended to bring an extra mask should your first become damp. Breaks for water and for the sake of breaks should be taken while keeping your 6-foot distance and facing away or stepping away from the group.
  5. Children permitted at our in-person stroller classes must remain buckled in their strollers from the time they approach the instructor/group, until after class has ended and the group has disbanded. Mid-class unbuckling can only happen away from the group.
  6. Clients should bring their own water bottles, resistance bands, towels/mats, and items for their children such as snacks, toys, and books.
  7. If a client does not bring her own resistance band, instructors may have new, sealed bands available to sell at the start of class, or sanitizing wipes and bands to loan. Exercises may also be performed without the use of a band.
  8. There will be no partner movements or encouraged touching in class; no high fives, hugs, etc.
  9. Clients are strongly encouraged to bring their own sanitation wipes and/or hand sanitizer.
  10. On bad weather days, classes may take place virtually.
  11. If you opt to gather in communal areas after the conclusion of class, you assume all associated risks and do so independent of the recommendation and practice of FIT4MOM.
  12. Please do not register for or attend in-person classes if:
    1. You have traveled outside of this region in the past two weeks to a hot spot area and/or if you had close interactions with others outside of your bubble. Feel free to email to discuss your individual situation if you’re not sure.
    2. You have been near someone in the past two weeks who was recently diagnosed with COVID-19.
    3. You or anyone in your household have experienced any symptoms such as fever, cough, difficulty breathing, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, loss of taste/smell, or diarrhea, or have been around someone who has. It’s of the utmost importance to be considerate of others and avoid anything that would put anyone at risk.

The above practices will help us stay committed to a healthy and safe community. We will continue to monitor both local and federal government information, and will update you should anything change.
